How to get your SE ID
- Visit the official portal: se.census.gov.in | westbengal.census.gov.in
- Login with your mobile number · enter OTP received via SMS
- Locate your residence: select State, District, then type locality/pincode. Drag the red marker to your exact building.
- Fill the form – Household details: Head name, members, amenities, assets (as per HLO schedule).
- Submit – you’ll receive a unique SE ID via SMS and email.
- Give SE ID to the Enumerator when they visit – they will validate and confirm your data.
Form filling – key fields:
Head of Household (name, gender, age)
Number of members, relationship to head
Type of house, floor, wall, roof materials
Drinking water, toilet, electricity, cooking fuel
Assets: mobile, TV, vehicle, internet, etc.
Note: All questions are from Houselisting & Housing Census (Phase I).
Portal active: 6 AM – 12 Midnight
